able to pick up his/her feet without a wrestling match? Trim his ears and legs
without a battle? Then join us for the new Starting Your Foal workshop.
The Starting Your Foal workshop is a little
different than our other workshops. You and your classmates will spend two
days together, (from 9:00am to 5:00pm) mastering the lesson plans and
practicing hands-on with the horses here at Free Rein Farm, while your mare
and foal stay safely at home.
During our sessions, you will learn how to:
- teach your foal to turn and face you
- to correctly sack him out
- teach him to lead
- pick up his feet for the farrier
- to safely load into a trailer.
After class you’ll return home and begin teaching what you have
learned.
Then, we will schedule a time for me to come to your
farm and work one-on-one with you and your baby, helping you to work through
any problems, clarifying the lessons and ensuring you are getting the results
you want.
This is a perfect opportunity to get your young horse off
to great start!
